P2P Transfers

Email money from your account to theirs.


At First Northern Bank and Trust, you can move money whenever the mood strikes! Send a gift, split the cost of a meal, repay a friend, or make a payment for a product or service. The possibilities are virtually endless. 


Just log in, enter the payment details, complete the transaction, and receive a keyword to securely share with your payee. Then, the Bank sends the payee an email requesting the keyword along with their deposit account information. When the information is received, a verification notice is issued and the money is deposited. Please note, this service is only available on personal accounts and a service fee of $1.00 per item will apply. See additional details.

New Customers
To open a personal account that’s eligible for Online Banking and P2P Transfers, call 1-800-344-2274 or visit any branch location. Once the account is open, you can enroll in Online Banking and complete the Online Banking Addendum to request that P2P Transfers be enabled. To submit the form, visit our contact page to request instructions to upload the document online, mail it to your preferred branch location, or drop it off at your convenience. Then, download the First Northern Bank and Trust Mobile Banking App from the App Store or Google Play.

Current Customers
If you already have an account with Online Banking:

  1. Log in and click My FNB Online.
  2. Click Configure This Page.
  3. Click the plus sign next to P2P, then click Save.
  4. Click Send Money. Your name and account number will fill in automatically.
  5. Enter and confirm your email address.
  6. Select a challenge phrase from the drop-down list. Your answer will be required when you make future changes to your information.
  7. Agree to the Terms and Conditions, and click Continue. 
  8. Congratulations! You’re enrolled. To get started, enter your first payee.


If your account is not set up with Online Banking, please enroll in Online Banking and complete the Online Banking Addendum to request that P2P Transfers be enabled. To submit the form, visit our contact page to request instructions to upload the document online, mail it to your preferred branch location, or drop it off at your convenience. There is no fee for the Mobile Banking app but connectivity and usage rates by your carrier or internet provider may apply. Contact your wireless service provider for more details.
